Harvey Greiner Ruhl

Harvey Greiner Ruhl, 83, of Mount Joy passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Mount Joy Township, he was the son of the late Irwin Greiner and Orlena Greiner Ruhl. He was the loving husband of Miriam Hershey Ruhl and they would have observed their 56th wedding anniversary this August. Harvey owned and operated the Ruhl family dairy farm. Harvey enjoyed agricultural road trips, selling hay, field work, the outdoors and reading. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music and playing games. He was a member of Risser’s Mennonite Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Ann Louise wife of Kenneth Shultz of Neffsville and Joy Denise wife of Patrick Strausbaugh of Mount Joy and five grandchildren, Evan, Nathan and Katherine Shultz, Autumn and Lena Strausbaugh. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul G. and Lester G. Ruhl.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Harvey's Funeral Service at West Green Tree Church of the Brethren, 740 Greentree Road, Elizabethtown on Saturday, February, 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
