Harry LeVerne Miller, 86, of Manheim passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Penn Township, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Beulah Tish Miller. He was the loving husband of Romona Wolfe Miller and they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary in June of last year. Retired in 1983, Harry worked at the former Armstrong Flooring, Lancaster. Following retirement, he drove cars at the Manheim Auto Auction. He proudly served in the United States Army during WW II and was awarded a bronze star and several medals. Harry was a life member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956. An avid sports fan, Harry loved his Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. Surviving in addition to his wife are five children, Harry D. husband of Malva "Jean" Funk Miller of Manheim, Ross Raymond husband of Cheryl Moore Miller of Camp Hill, Katherine E. wife of Thomas Fritz, James LeVerne husband of Dolores Carpenter Miller and Jay D. husband of Lavanda Schaffer Miller all of Manheim, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, four brothers, Lloyd husband of Mae Miller of Columbia, Richard husband of Sherry Miller, Dervin Miller and Mervin husband of Vera Miller all of Elizabethtown and two sisters, Betty Storm of Columbia and Phoebe Schickley of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Miller and two sisters, Nancy Bradley and Mary Shenk. Funeral Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
