Harry G. Frey

     Harry G. Frey, 85, of Manheim passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Born in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Oscar F. and Dorothy M. Boyce Frey. He was the loving husband of Carolyn K. Reese Frey, and they observed their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this month. Harry proudly served in the United States Navy from 1960-1964. He was stationed on Adak in the Aleutian Islands, Alaska, and as a civilian he worked for the National Security Agency in Fort Meade, MD. He retired from the former Alumax Aluminum Corporation, Lancaster, and in his earlier years he worked at the Sportsman's Shop, New Holland, former Calder Manufacturing Company, Lancaster, and  the former Gerberich-Payne Shoe Company, Mount Joy. His interests included hunting, playing golf and yard work.

     Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Troy G. Frey of Manheim, Matthew A. Frey, husband of Yvonne Hutchinson Frey of Mount Joy, and two granddaughters, Anna M and Elizabeth M. Frey. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Ruth Frey, Judith Ann Wagner, and Charles, Marlin, and Eugene Frey.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Harry’s Funeral Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 12:00 Noon. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 11:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
