Harold B. Ginder, 73, of York, formerly of Manheim passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Manor Care Kingston Court, York. Born in Mount Joy Township, he was the son of the late John S. and Maude Becker Ginder. He was the loving husband of Audrey Earhart Ginder and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January of this year. Retired in 2001, Harold worked at the former York International Corp. He graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1956. He graduated from Elizabethtown College and Penn State University in 1961 with a BA degree and a BS in mechanical engineering. Harold was an active and faithful member of York First Church of the Brethren where through the years he served as Moderator and on the church board. He also enjoyed singing as a member of the choir. He was a member of ASHRAE. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, J. Spencer Ginder and wife Christina of Parkton, Maryland, two daughters, Karen G. wife of David Sampson of Salem, Virginia, and Diane M. wife of Todd Colvin of York, five grandchildren, Alex Ginder, Connor, Rachael and Jake Sampson, and Melanie Schaefer, a brother J. Becker Ginder and wife Vera of Manheim and a sister, Kathleen B. Hollinger of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by 2 cousins, Carl F. Ginder and Kathryn Miller. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at York First Church of the Brethren, 2710 Kingston Road, York on Monday, December 19, 2011 at 7:00 PM. Visitation time with the family will be preceding the service at 6:00 PM. Interment will take place in Chiques Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township on Monday afternoon at 2:00 PM. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Please omit flowers.
