H. Joan “Jody” Furlow, 96, of Lititz, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Luther Acres. Born in Manheim, and growing up on a dairy farm, Jody was the daughter of the late Roy H. and Margaret Erdman Miller. A homemaker, Jody was the loving wife of the late John F. Furlow who died in December of 1993. She was an active and faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, where she was a member of the choir and altar guild in her younger years. She enjoyed music, was a very sharp card player of Pinochle and Hasenpfeffer, and word games like Scrabble. She had a deep love and passion for her family, and cherished all the time she could spend with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons: Thomas M. husband of Pam Furlow of Schaefferstown, Daniel M. husband of Michelle Furlow of Lititz, two daughters: Beth Ann wife of Norman Steffy of Mansfield, and Nancy wife of James Landis of Mountville, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and a brother, Carl Miller of Manheim. Preceding her in death is a brother Glenn Miller.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jody’s Funeral Service at Salem Lutheran Church of Kissel Hill, 26 Owl Hill Road, Lititz, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 11:00 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
