Grace C. Brubaker, 103, formerly of East Petersburg, died peacefully on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Brethren Village, Lancaster. Born in Elizabethtown, she was the daughter of the late Jacob O. and Mary B. Caslow Brubaker. Grace was last employed in the office for the Credit Bureau of Lancaster County; previously, she worked as a sales clerk for Raub Supply Company, and Steinman Hardware Store, both of Lancaster. She was an active member of the Hempfield Church of the Brethren, East Petersburg, where she volunteered on the church board, choir member, taught in the children’s Sunday school department, and bible school. Her interests included: crocheting, needle work, vegetable gardening, cross word puzzles, and reading.
Surviving is a half-sister, Mary Jane Davis of Christiana, three nephews, two nieces, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is a brother, Earl C. Brubaker, a half-brother, Samuel S. Snyder Jr., and a sister, Anna Koser.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, on Friday, May 23, 2014, at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
