Glenn H. Hershey

March 6, 1927 — January 27, 2011

Glenn H. Hershey, 83, of North Penryn Road, Manheim went home to be with his Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2011.

Born in Penn Township, he was the son of the late Milton L. and Nancy Heagy Hershey. Glenn was owner and operator of his own farm in Penn Township and he worked for Keystone Mills in Hinkletown. He was the husband of Romaine Groff Hershey and they celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary in June of last year. Glenn was a member of White Oak Church of the Brethren, Manheim where he was a Sunday school teacher.

Surviving in addition to his wife are four children, Lucille Mazzella of Lititz, Galen husband of Jolie Hershey, Robert husband of Debbie Hershey and Luanne wife of Dale Zuck all of Manheim, 17 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and two sisters, Lois wife of Ralph Givler and Julia wife of Glen Miller both of Manheim. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda H. Neidermyer, two grandchildren, David Lee and Alyssa Joy Neidermyer, two brothers, Bruce and Kenneth Hershey.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the White Oak Church of the Brethren, 1211 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 10:30 AM. Interment in Graybills Brethren Cemetery, Elm, PA. There will be a public viewing at the church on Monday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and again at the church on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of service.
