Glen L. Longenecker, 90, of Wrightsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at WellSpan York Hospital. Born in Manheim Township, he was the son of the late Samuel and Pauline Lefever Longenecker. He was the loving husband of Marcia A. March Longenecker and they observed their 55th wedding anniversary this past March. Glen owned and operated G.L. Longenecker Insurance Agency, Dallastown and previously worked for Glatfelter Insurance Company/VFISI, York. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. His interests included traveling, gardening and he loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Gail K. wife of Steven Wolfgang of Lancaster, a son, Kenneth R. Longenecker husband of Tammy Castleforte of Salt Lake City, UT eight grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and a brother, Dennis L. husband of Anita Longenecker of Beach Lake. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Gwen Bostic, a son, Scott M. Longenecker and three siblings, Nancy Adams, J. Carl and Jere L. Longenecker.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Glen’s Memorial Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 West Main Street, Mount Joy on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Glen’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
