Glen A. Eckhart

     Glen A. Eckhart, 83, of Lebanon, died peacefully at Lebanon Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, March 9, 2024. He was the loving husband of Lois (Wolszczenski) Eckhart, and they celebrated 56 years of marriage this past December.  Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Alvin and Margaret (Adams).  Glen was a graduate of Ephrata high School, class of 1958, and a graduate of Penn State University with a B.S. in Mining Engineering.   He worked for various corporations in the coal industry for 33 years.  Glen proudly served as a LTJG in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  He had a passion for cars and was known to race a few, and he also enjoyed bicycling, and fantasy football.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

     Surviving in addition to his wife Lois are 4 daughters, 7 grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, 2 sisters Donna and Darlene, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Frank and a sister Velma.

     Services for Glen will be private and at the convenience of the family.
