Geraldine J. "Gerry" Buckwalter

Geraldine J. “Gerry” Buckwalter, 88, of Manheim passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 25, 2017. Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lulu Boyd Weaver. She was the wife of Jay Quentin “Quinny” Buckwalter and they would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in September. Gerry was a member of East Fairview Church of the Brethren, Manheim and she was a 1947 graduate of Manheim High School. Gerry was also a member of the Farm Women. A devout Christian, Gerry loved her Lord. Her interests included gardening, singing and she loved to spend time with her family.
Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons, Ken Buckwalter of Mackay, Idaho, Robert husband of Brenda Kreider Buckwalter and Jeffrey husband of Peggy Roth Buckwalter both of Manheim; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, a brother, Donald husband of Frances Weaver of Manheim and a sister, Nancy Fellenbaum of Lititz. She was preceded in death by a son, Jay Quentin Buckwalter III, a sister, Thelma Sheaffer and four brothers, Ernest, Jim, Wilbur and Robert Weaver.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at East Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1187 Fairview Road, Manheim, on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
