Gerald “Jerry” Hanley, Sr., 92, formerly of Perkasie, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023 at the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown.  He was the widower of the late Shirley Mae Hanley who passed away March 18, 2023.  They had been married for 71 years.

After serving his country as a Marine, Jerry was a Supervisor for the Bethlehem Steel Corporation building bridges up and down the eastern coast. Jerry held a private pilot license for most of his adult life and was a Major in the Civil Air Patrol in Quakertown. He was a Recovery/Rescue Scuba Diver, attained his black belt in Karate when he was in his 60’s, and was a 32-degree Freemason.  Jerry owned and retired from his business of lawn & garden and winter sporting equipment, Windy Springs.

If you met Jerry, then you must have heard his favorite fun stories; “There was an old geezer and he had a wooden leg…”  or/and   “I was standing on the corner just as innocent as I could be when along came…”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Albert, and by a daughter Debra Joy Bordner who was the wife of Craig until her passing in 2016.
