Gary Robert Strack

Gary Robert Strack, 70, of Manheim died on Friday August 24, 2012 at Manor Care, Elizabethtown. Born in Stamford, CT, he was the son of the late Robert and Anne (Mostowy) Strack. He was the loving husband of the late Mary K. (Funk) Strack who died in 2009. Gary proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated G&M Strack laser cartridge re-conditioning. Previously, he sold real estate and insurance. Gary was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Manheim and was a cub-scout leader with Pack # 307, Manheim where he was instrumental in its creation and a committee chairman. His interests included model railroads, archery, tropical fish, photography and cats; especially Siamese cats. Surviving is a son, David G. husband of Belinda Strack of Greer, SC, a daughter, Melissa K. wife of Jeff Smith of Manheim, five grandchildren, Matthew Scott, Nathan, Danielle, Vincent and Marissa, a brother, Robert Strack of Chetumal, Mexico and a sister, Kathy Syvertsen of New Windsor, NY. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 90 South Charlotte Street, Manheim on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Memorial Gardens, Ephrata. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers. Those desiring may send contributions in Gary's memory to St Paul's Episcopal Church, 90 South Charlotte Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
