Gary N. Yetter, 75, of Mount Joy, died peacefully, Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at the Masonic Village Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. He was the husband of the late Linda (Kaylor) Yetter who died in 2012. Born in Lewistown, PA, he was the son of the late Clarence D. and Elba (Mattern) Yetter. Gary was a retired engineer for AMP, Harrisburg. He was a graduate of Lewistown High School, class of 1958. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a active member of Chiques United Methodist Church, Mount Joy, where he served as head usher, treasurer and advisory board member of the “Elderberries”, treasurer of the Kare-More Sunday School Class, and was a former trustee board member. His hobbies included woodworking, watching Penn State Football, and earlier in his years he enjoyed bowling.
Surviving is a sister Bonnie (Richard) Adams of Lewistown; five brothers David of Lewistown, Ezra of Santa Cruz, CA, William (Nancy) Yetter of Virginia Beach, VA, Paul (Bonnie) Yetter of Lewistown, Gordon (Nancy) Yetter of Williamsport; and fourteen nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at Chiques United Methodist Church, 1215 E. Main St. Mount Joy, PA on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Family will greet friends following the memorial service in the fellowship hall. Interment in Grandview Memorial Park, Annville, will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions in Gary’s memory may be sent Chiques United Methodist Church, 1215 E. Main St. Mount Joy PA 17552.
