Frank J. Beam

Frank J. Beam, 84, of East Petersburg, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Carney Beam. He was the husband of the late Susan M. George Beam who died in 2014. Frank retired from the former Bunting Oil Co., Lancaster. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart and four Bronze Stars. Frank enjoyed mechanical work and riding his Harley Davidson. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Frank J. Jr. husband of Sandra Beam of East Petersburg, Harold E. husband of Margaret Beam of Harrisburg, three daughters, Kathy wife of James Denk of Mount Joy, Joanne Freeman of Mount Joy, Christel wife of James Groff of Denver, fourteen grandchildren and twenty eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Bitz, Dorothy Smith and three brothers, Arthur Jr., Harold and Richard Beam.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township with military honors.
