Everett B. “Tim” Stauffer, 96, formerly of Penn Street, Manheim passed away peacefully on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Warwick Township, he was the son of the late J. Beaver and Beatrice Brookmyer Stauffer. He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy E. Miller Stauffer who died in 1999. Retired in 1982, Tim worked 34 years as a computer programmer/analyst at The Fuller Company, Manheim. He was an active and faithful member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Manheim where he served as both Elder and Deacon. Tim proudly served in the United States Army 94th Infantry Division during WW II, Battle of the Bulge and received several Medals and Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Manheim VFW Post 5956, American Legion, AMVETS, 94th Infantry Division Association and he served as Treasurer for the former Alzheimer’s Disease & Related Disorders Support Group, Lancaster County. Tim enjoyed traveling, puzzles and he loved to spend time with his family and friends.
Surviving is a daughter, Gail M. wife of Richard Dovalovsky of Wayne, PA and one grandson, Jeffrey D. Dovalovsky of Chesterton, Indiana. He is also survived by five nieces and three nephews. Tim was preceded in death by a son, Eric N. Stauffer, a brother, Mahlon Stauffer and four sisters, Grace Stauffer, Fay Bowman, Elizabeth Foreman and June Stauffer.
Funeral Services will be held at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Hoffer Auditorium, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at Hoffer Auditorium from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township with military honors.
