Eugenia Ruth Cota

Eugenia Ruth Cota, 92, formerly of Bethlehem passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Oak Leaf Manor, Landisville. Born in Newport News, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Ruth Burk Viger. She was the wife of the late Sherwood J. Cota who died in 2010. Eugenia retired as a secretary at the Allentown State Hospital. She graduated from Bethlehem Business College. She was a member of The Church of the Manger United Church of Christ, Bethlehem where she was active with the Women’s Guild and Church Women United. Her interests included knitting, sewing and counted cross-stitch.

Surviving is a daughter, Judith L. wife of Michael S. Sobeck of Manheim, three grandchildren, Christopher S. husband of Lindsey Sobeck of Mount Joy, Kristen J. Riley of Pittsburgh, Michelle C. wife of Timothy Stone of Williamsburg, PA, two great grandchildren, Emma C. Stone of Williamsburg, PA and Kaelyn R. Sobeck of Mount Joy and a cousin, Annetta Rees of Landisville.

Funeral Service is private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Eugenia’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
