Ethel M. Flowers Garman, 87, of Elizabethtown, died peacefully surrounded by her family, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Manor Care Health Services, Elizabethtown. She was the wife of the late Glenn Flowers, Sr. who died in 1990 and the late John Garman who died in 2002. Born in Rapho Twp. she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maude (Hair) Schaeffer. Ethel was employed at the former Hestico Garment Co., Elizabethtown, and the former K-D Tools of Centerville for 19 ½ years. Ethel attended Bossler’s Mennonite Church, Elizabethtown. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and adult coloring.
Surviving are two daughters Donna Altimus, Reno NV, Sharon Dauberman, Manheim; four sons Glenn Jr. husband of Genita (Smith) Flowers, Huntingdon County, David C. husband of Judy (Nauss) Flowers, Landisville, Dennis husband of Barbara (Piper) Flowers, Columbia, Jeffrey husband of Tammy (Miller) Flowers of Maytown; 13 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, 4 step-great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a brother Warren husband of Delores Schaeffer, Mount Joy; and a sister Mary Goodling, Columbia. In addition to her husbands and parents she was preceded in death by three brothers Paul, Ralph and Raymond Schaeffer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 W. Main St. Mount Joy, on Wednesday April 20, 2016 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia.
