Ethel F. Keiser, 93, of Lancaster, died peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Swarthmore, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Bertha Myers Wiker. Ethel was the wife of the late Warren F. Keiser Sr. who died in 2004. Ethel worked as a sales clerk at the former Watt & Shand Department Store, Lancaster; previously she was employed at Hubley Manufacturing Company, Lancaster. Ethel was a member of Church of Christ and the Garden Spot VFW Post 1690 Ladies Auxiliary, all of Lancaster. She had a deep passion and love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving is a son, Warren F. “Butch” Jr. husband of Barbara Keiser of Bosque Farms, N.M., a daughter, Phyllis Hess of Manheim, six grandchildren: Jason husband of Megan Hess, Heather wife of Jeremiah Longenecker, Mark Schlutker, Jeremy husband of Lisa Keiser, Derrek husband of Letti Keiser, Angela Bowman, fourteen great grandchildren; Brittany Schlutker, Brandon Schlutker, Makenna Hess, Landon Hess, Cayson Longenecker, Jeffrey Keiser, Zayden Keiser, Anthony Witten, Stephen Keiser, Dean Bowman, Dyla Bowman, Dayla Bowman, Darren Bowman, and Jason Armijo. Preceding her in death is a daughter, Trudy Keiser, one brother, and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ethel’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 2:00 PM. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
