Esther E. Givens

Esther E. Givens, 87, of Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, formerly of York, died Friday April 8, 2016 after an unexpected illness. She was the wife of the late Richard Givens who died in 2013. Born in York she was the daughter of the late Russell F. Sr. and Alma (Bolton) Frock. Esther was a graduate of William Penn High School, class of 1947. She enjoyed being a wife and mother for her family, and retired from General Telephone Company in York as a telephone operator. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, York, White Rose Chapter No. 360 Order of Eastern Star, and was an avid Baltimore Orioles baseball fan.

Surviving is a son Stephen E. Givens, Sr. of Sanford, ME; two daughters Susan C. Givens of Red Lion, Beverly J. Givens of Dover, and two grandsons Justin B. Stoyer (Tracy) of Woodbridge, VA, Stephen E. Givens, Jr. of Berwick, ME. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Ann, and a brother Russell Frock, Jr.
