Esta M. Hoffer, 91, of Manheim passed away peacefully at her granddaughter’s home on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Born in Clay Township, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary Zell Enck. She was the wife of the late Elam S. Hoffer who died in 2010. In her earlier years, Esta worked at the former Noggles Garment Factory, Manheim. She also worked in the cafeteria at the Manheim Central High School and the former Manheim Garment Factory. Esta was a member of Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, Manheim where she attended Men’s and Ladies Bible class. She was also a charter member of the Manheim Lioness Club.
Surviving is a granddaughter, Lisa M. Seiders companion of Jack Phillips of Manheim, a great grandson, Alexander William Seiders of Manheim and a sister, Elsie Armer of Ephrata. She was preceded in death by eight brothers, Gilbert, Richard, Adam Jr., James, Eugene, Leon, John and Charles Enck and three sisters, Betty Keener, Anna Mae Grassel and Mary Kline.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Ruhl’s United Methodist Church, 4810 Elizabethtown Road, Manheim on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Thursday evening from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM and again at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
Interment in Brickerville Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
