Emmanuel R. Treadway

Emmanuel R. “Manny” Treadway, 79, of Ashton and formerly of Manheim passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Media. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Thomas Jay and Loretta Kissinger Treadway. Manny worked at Longwood Gardens Restaurant, Ale House, Hilltop Inn and other restaurants in the Kennett Square area. He attended Faith Bible Fellowship Church, Lancaster. Manny volunteered at the Media Fire Company and various senior citizen centers. His interests included fishing, hiking, nature and animals. He was kind, gentle and loved to help other people.
Surviving is a brother, Daniel M. Treadway of Manheim, five sisters, Erma M. Wilson of Washington Boro, Margie K. Treadway of Rheems, Susan L. wife of Darryl Yohn of Manheim, Idella L. wife of David deFernelmont of East Earl, Rita M. wife of Barry Greenawalt of Lititz and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 7:00 PM. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will be on Thursday morning at the Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township at 10:30 AM.
