Elsie R. Gibble

Elsie R. Gibble, 94, formerly of Manheim passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at Luther Acres, Lititz. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Annie Reppert Shaffner. She was the wife of the late David P. Gibble who died in 1959. Elsie retired from the former K-D Tools, Lancaster; she also worked at the former Hamilton Watch Company, Lancaster. She was an active and faithful member of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim where she taught Sunday school and helped in the nursery. Elsie volunteered at Luther Acres and was a den mother for the Manheim Cub Scouts. Her interests included traveling, gardening, reading and crossword puzzles. Surviving is a son, Denton S. husband of Frances DeVerter Gibble of Lititz, two granddaughters, Kelli wife of David Burkey of Enola, Shannon wife of Chris Salmi of Manheim, five great grandchildren, Bryant, David, Kyle, Nash and Emmett. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Heagy Bouder. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Melinda L. McKonly officiating. Interment in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery, Lancaster. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
