Elsie M. Lowry

Elsie M. Lowry, 86, of Manheim, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Conneautville, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Millicent Bacon Barnes. Elsie worked for 16 years in the office at the Manheim Auto Auction. She was the wife of the late Lyle T. Lowry who died in December of 2011. Elsie was an active and faithful member of Grace Brethren Church of Manheim.

Surviving is a daughter, Connie wife of Brian Weidle of Manheim, three grandsons, Joseph husband of Breanne Weidle, Stephen Weidle, Seth Weidle, a brother, James husband of Chloe LaVonne Barnes of Monroe, Ohio, a sister, Barbara wife of Roger Srail of Seville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was a sister, Rose Marie Scott.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service in the Hoffer Auditorium at Pleasant View Retirement Community, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Jeffrey L. Dunkle officiating. There will be a viewing in the Hoffer Auditorium on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Chiques Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Rapho Township.
