Elizabeth Myer Myer

Elizabeth Myer Myer, 91, of Lancaster and formerly of Elizabethtown passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Brethren Village, Lancaster. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Luke B. and Suzie L. Kurtz Myer. She was the wife of the late Raymond H. Myer who died in 2009. Elizabeth graduated in 1942 from East Lampeter High School. In her earlier years, she worked at Millers Family Restaurant, Bell Telephone Company as an operator and for Dr. Robert M. Brackbill, Dentist as an administrative assistant. Elizabeth was a member of Elizabethtown Church of the Brethren and a former member of West Green Tree Church of the Brethren. She loved to spend time with her family and enjoyed volunteering at Brethren Village. Her interest included gardening, baking, gathering and preserving produce.

Surviving are three daughters, M. Darlene Myer of Lancaster, Rose Marie Mekulsia wife of Donald W. Thompson of Elizabethtown, Sylvia K. wife of Eric C. Roll of Fort Collins, CO, son, Michael A. husband of Jodie Knox Myer of Bozeman, MT, a grandson, Andrew R. husband of Kristen Ferree Mekulsia of York, one great granddaughter, sister, Susanne Reitzel of Wells, MN and a brother, Daniel Myer of Colville, WA. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Anna Mary Kingsbury, Esther K. Myer, Ruth Myer and two brothers, Luke and Milton Myer.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private in West Green Tree Brethren Cemetery, Mount Joy Township. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service. Please omit flowers.
