Elizabeth H. Kreider, 91, formerly of Landisville went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Landis Homes Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Irvin K. and Fannie Herr Kreider. Elizabeth worked as an administrative assistant at the former A.H. Hoffman Seed Company, Landisville. She graduated from the former East Hempfield High School in 1939. Elizabeth was an active and faithful member of East Petersburg Mennonite Church where she was involved in various activities at the church. Her interests included gardening, traveling, photography and music. She was known to many as "the Rose Lady" because of her beautiful garden that held 150 rose bushes. Elizabeth also loved animals, especially kittens. Surviving is a sister, Janet H. Kreider of Landis Homes, a brother, Roy H. husband of Florence Cressman Kreider of Broadway, Virginia, two nephews, David and Jonathan Kreider and a niece, Rosemary Hess. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at Landis Homes Retirement Community, WEST BETHANY CHAPEL, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Monday afternoon immediately following the service.
