Elizabeth Y. “Toot” Fellenbaum, 100, of Lititz, died peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Neffsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Ervin G. and Elizabeth Young Ober. Toot was the loving wife of the late R. Glenn Fellenbaum who died in November of 1992 following 47 years of marriage. Toot was employed as a seamstress for a number of sewing factories in Lancaster County. She also worked at Mel’s Restaurant at Root’s Country Market and Auction in Manheim, Enck’s Catering, and following retirement, she worked in the cafeteria at the Manheim Auto Auction. She was an active and faithful member of the Lampeter Church of the Brethren, where she served as a greeter and worked in the kitchen in her younger years. A passionate race fan along with her husband for many years; Toot was the oldest life-time member of the Lanco Micro-Midget Auto Racing Club, Brickerville. She also enjoyed NASCAR, and rooted for her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. She loved her family dearly, and cherished all the time she could spend with her husband, children, grandchildren, and her extended family.
Surviving is a daughter, Sharon S. wife of Lawrence Altman of Lititz, two grandsons: Gregory M. husband of Sharon Harnish, Gary M. Harnish, four great grandchildren: Chelsea L. Harnish, Dillon G. Harnish, Garrett M. Harnish, Trevor R. Harnish, and a great great grandson, Ryder C. Harnish, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death is a son, Gary Lee Fellenbaum, a sister, Pauline Nauman, and two brothers: Monroe Y. Ober and Ervin Y. Ober.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Toot’s Funeral Service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Longeneckers Cemetery, Lititz.
