Elizabeth B. “Betty” Becklin, 89, of Manheim and formerly of Bethlehem passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center, Lititz. Born in Freemansburg, Northampton County, she was the daughter of the late Ivan C. and Hattie Bauder Youngkin. Betty was the wife of the late Charles F. Becklin who died in 2007. She was active in the Lutheran faith.
Betty enjoyed cleaning and she loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen husband of Shirley Bayak of Allentown, Ronald husband of Pauline Becklin of Bethlehem, five grandchildren, Suzanne wife of Bernard Reiley of Manheim, John husband of Jane Baker of Lancaster, Sheila wife of Keith Woodford of Llewellyn, Stephen husband of Sue Bayak of Meshoppen, Brian Becklin of Bethlehem, six great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, a brother, James Youngkin of Bethlehem and a sister, Beatrice Hebor of Kissimmee, Florida. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Lou Baker and a granddaughter, Jennifer Becklin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 3:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
