Elizabeth Amelia Siegman, 99, of Glen Arm, MD, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday June 26, 2013 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy, PA. She was the wife of the late James A. Siegman. Born in Harford County MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Emma (Whiteford) Streett. Elizabeth was an executive secretary for the former Kopper’s Corp. of Glen Arm before retiring. She was a member of the Union United Methodist Church, and a faithful contributor to the Heffer Foundation. Over her life time she had put together 30 photo albums of her travels and family times together. She was known to her family as the “family historian & genealogist”.
Surviving is a son James husband of Catherine Siegman of Bridgeville, De; a daughter Martha Cook of Fallston, MD; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters Thelma Lawrence of Quarryville, PA, Virginia Shanklin of Bel Air, MD, and Betty Lawrence of Corvallis OR.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions in Elizabeth’s memory may sent to the Quarryville Presbyterian Retirement Community “Kinsman Fund”, 625 Robert Fulton Highway, Quarryville PA 17566-1400.
