Eleanor "Peggy" M. (Ogden) Huber, 95 of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Clymer, PA, died Monday, January 9, 2012, at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. A daughter of Clyde H. and Hope (Irwin) Ogden, she was born on July 24, 1916 in Cherrytree, PA. Mrs. Huber was a member of the Clymer Presbyterian Church for 75 years. She was very dedicated to her church having served in various capacities including Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 299 in Indiana. She was a graduate of Clymer High School, class of 1933. Peggy was a charter member and three-term President of the Clymer High School Band Mothers' group that later became known as the Penns Manor Band Parents' Association. She had worked at the CBC Company Store and Sgriccia's Supermarket. Her legacy was as an avid knitter, who throughout her lifetime, had knitted thousands of personalized Christmas stockings and sweaters for family, relatives and friends. Surviving are three sons: Walter D. "Denny" and wife Rose of Maineville, Ohio; Thomas M. of Indiana, PA; Terry O. of Palm Springs, California; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Linus L. Huber; two brothers: Samuel I. Ogden and John W. Ogden; and a sister, Inez Gordon. There will be no public visitation. A memorial service for Peggy will be held at a later date with arrangements entrusted Heilig Funeral Home and the Harry J. Bence Funeral Home in Clymer. Her family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Clymer, Sixth St., Clymer, PA 15728; or to the Linus Huber Scholarship Fund at Penns Manor High School, 6003 Rt. 553 Hwy., Clymer, PA 15728.
