Eleanor M. “Ella” Prince, 80, of Manheim, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2017 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Jamaica, New York, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Helena Flannery Cook. She was the loving wife of Leon E. Prince Sr. and would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this June. Ella and her husband both retired as owners/operators of the Pocono East Motel, East Stroudsburg. In her earlier years, she worked for the Bursar’s office at St. John’s University, New York. She was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church, Manheim. Ella was a faithful and dedicated member of the Columbiettes, where she served as Past President for the State of PA.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Gail wife of Stephen Orefice of Putnam Valley, New York, Donna Prince companion of Karen Dero of Manheim, Leon E. Jr. husband of Antionette “TJ” Prince of Bushkill, Michelle Semken of New Cumberland; eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mary wife of Lester Krumm of Hershey and Helena Condello of Mt. Pocono.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Richard Catholic Church, 110 North Oak Street, Manheim on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM. There will be a public viewing at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM with additional viewing at the church on Saturday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Interment in Silver Spring Cemetery, West Hempfield Township. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may send contributions in Ella’s memory to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
