Eleanor A. Zielke

Eleanor A. Zielke, 92, formerly of Mount Joy (Florin), died Sunday June 27, 2010 at Longwood Manor, Maytown. She was the loving wife of the late Gerard R. Zielke who died in 1967. Born in Brooklyn, NY she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen Grosser. Eleanor retired from the Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics (formerly Zielke Orthotics & Prosthetics of Florin and Lancaster) at the age of 83 in 2001. Eleanor was a member of Glossbrenner United Methodist Church of Mount Joy, and was a former member of the American Business Women Association of Mount Joy. She also enjoyed gardening at her beautiful home on Main Street, and crossword puzzles.
Surviving is a son, Donald G. Sr, husband of Glenda Zielke of Hellam; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a son in-law Jack Francis of South Dakota. She was preceded in death by a daughter Eleanor N. Francis, and a sister Norma Sellman, and a great granddaughter.
Services and inurnment in Mount Joy Cemetery will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing.
