Elaine Adams Mason

Elaine Adams Mason, a resident of Cornwall Manor, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 after battling a long illness. She was 82.

Elaine was born in Port Jervis, NY, on June 5, 1942, to the late Mary H Adams, née Boyd, and Merlin K Adams of Matamoras, PA. Elaine was married to Harold E Mason for 50 years, with whom she lived in Elizabethtown, PA, until his passing in 2016.

 Elaine graduated from Delaware Valley High School in 1960 and York Academy of Arts in 1981. 

Everyone who knew Elaine was charmed by her silly wit, her beautiful artistic drawings and crafts, many of which she gave generously as gifts to friends and family. Her passion for genealogy led her to compile a rich family history long before the popular internet sites. She also had a love of gardening and kept a sweet habitat for birds, butterflies, and bees with a large garden of beautiful flowers. Elaine was a sweet and loving mother and grandmother, and she was deeply loved.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa E. Ford and her husband, Shawn Ford, Lebanon, PA; her son, Timothy J. Mason and his wife, April Stoltz, Brooklyn, NY; three grandchildren, Emily, Asher, and Graham; a brother, Ken Adams and his wife Kate, Matamoras, PA; and a sister, Grace Levan, and her husband, Ken, Birdsboro, PA.

 We would like to thank the nursing staff of Cornwall Manor Health Center for the care they have given to "Lainie" these past few years.

 Viewing and funeral will be private to immediate family.
