Edward Nixon Allen, 87, of Elizabethtown passed away at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown on Tuesday, November 12, 2013. Born in Beverly, NJ, he was the son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth Nixon Allen. He was the loving husband of June Hall Allen with whom he celebrated forty years of marriage on November 3rd. In his earlier years, he was a sales manager for Friden/Singer Company and Sharp Electronics. He retired as owner and operator of Data, Inc., Limerick, PA. Edward proudly served in the US Navy during WW II. He was a member of the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Elizabethtown where he sang in the men’s chorus. Edward was also a member of Porter Lodge #284 F&AM, Catasauqua, PA, Masonic Village Railroad Club and Outreach Program. He enjoyed model railroads.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Edward N. Jr. husband of Suzanne Allen of Cream Ridge, NJ, Robert D. husband of Cathy Allen of Altamont, NY, two daughters, Catherine wife of Michael Rokoski of Quakertown, Carol Jean Covino of Clifton, NJ and a stepson, Rev. Earl G.III husband of Elizabeth Brown of Effingham, IL, six grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister, Doris Blair of Pinellas Park, FL. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Robert and Richard Allen.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, One Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
