Edward C. Trafford, 62, of Manheim went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Richard G. and Lucille E. Cannon Trafford. He was the loving husband of Susan I. Landis Trafford, and they would have celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary in June of this year.

Early in his career he worked for the Marriott Corporation in Washington, D.C. He then worked in public accounting for several years, opening his own firm in Manheim in 1987. Until his recent illness, he worked in accounting for Graybill Machines, Inc., of Lititz. Ed was a founding member of the Manheim Touchdown Club, served as treasurer for the Manheim Central Track & Field booster club, past president of the Manheim Chamber of Commerce, served as a member of the Manheim Borough zoning board, was a member of the Sertoma Club and in his early years, volunteered as a youth baseball umpire. Ed previously attended Grace Church of Lititz. A devoted Manheim Central Barons football fan, he was also devoted to attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting activities. Ed was dedicated to his family, enjoying trips to SC to visit his aunts and uncles, and taking each of his sons individually on special trips throughout the US. Ed recently fulfilled his lifelong dream of being on the water by spending time with friends and family in Hollywood Beach, MD.
