Edna C. Fitzkee

Edna C. Fitzkee, 89, of East Petersburg, and formerly of Mount Joy, died Wednesday, April 13, 2011 after a brief illness, at Hospice of Lancaster County, Lancaster. Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Susan Cunningham. She was the widow of the late Woodrow Fitzkee who died in 1971. She worked as a supply technician for New Cumberland Army Depot and also at the former Watt & Shand and the Bon-Ton department stores of Lancaster. Edna was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Mount Joy for 80 years and served as treasurer. She was a past worthy matron-Order of Eastern Star Chapter #407, Elizabethtown. Surviving is a niece, Jacqueline wife of Stanley Gingrich of Chambersburg, several grand and great grand nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her memorial service at the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, 100 New Haven Street, Mount Joy, on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:30 PM with Reverend Ronald Bachman officiating. Interment in Mount Joy Cemetery will be private. There will be a time of visitation with the family at the church on Saturday from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.
