Edith F. Mumma

Edith F. Mumma, 88, of East Petersburg, went home to be with her Lord, Sunday October 9, 2011 at Conestoga Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster. She was the widow of the late Ammon Mumma who died in 1985. Born in Milton Grove, she was the daughter of the late Phares and Minnie (Floyed) Garman. Edith was a cook at the former Long Home and Calvary Homes both of Lancaster. Edith was a member of the Hempfield Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her children, Carol L. wife of Jay Koser, Jr. of East Petersburg, Lester G. husband of Sharon Mumma of Manheim, Robert G. Mumma of Reading, Betty Jean wife of Barry Weaver of Stevens; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Harvey Garman and a sister Anna Snook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Hempfield Church of the Brethren, corner of Stevens St. and Metzler Road, (1 mile west of East Petersburg), on Saturday October 15, 2011 at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor John Layman officiating. Interment will be in the Hempfield Church of the Brethren Cemetery. There will be a public viewing on Saturday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers contributions in Edith's memory may be sent to Hempfield Church of the Brethren, P.O. Box 246, East Petersburg PA 17520.
