Earl M. Stoner, 96, of Lititz, and formerly of Manheim, departed from this earth to live in heaven on March 14, 2018. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late William M. and Sadie Breitegam Stoner. Earl was the loving husband of the late Grace Derstler Stoner for 64 years. In 1949 Earl graduated from Millersville State Teachers College with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Arts. For over 32 years Earl taught Industrial Arts in the Junior High School for the Manheim Central School District retiring in 1982. Following retirement, he worked part time for the Manheim Auto Auction. Earl served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He attended Lake View Bible Church, Manheim, and taught Sunday school for many years. His interests included: fishing, hunting, reading, chopping wood, and wood working.
Surviving is a sister Mary E. Bailey of Lebanon, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is a brother Richard M. Stoner.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Earl’s funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery.
