E. Ruth Bucher

E. Ruth Bucher, 85, formerly of Stiegel Street, Manheim passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Ammon and Mae Kauffman Bucher. Ruth was a homemaker and caregiver for over sixty children. She was an active and faithful member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim where she sang in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Ruth was also a member of the Osteopathic Guild at the former Lancaster Community Hospital. Her interests included knitting, quilting and crocheting. Ruth was the last of her immediate family. She will be missed by her extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2 South Hazel Street, Manheim on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Interment in Erisman Mennonite Cemetery, Rapho Township. There will be a public viewing at the church on Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
