E. June Witmeyer, 93, of Manheim, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, May 7, 2018. Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late James and Stella Greiner Peters. June was the loving wife for over 30 years to the late Rev. William R. Witmeyer who died in November of 1979. She enjoyed working as a sales clerk for the former Watt and Shand Department Store. June and her husband were founding board members of the Keystone “Camps Farthest Out”, a Christ centered camp experience. Her loving, positive, gentle and joyful spirit were a testament to all who knew her. Her life-long passion was faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and commitment to her church; and the love and devotion she gave to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving is a son, Gary husband of Rita Keener Witmeyer, two daughters: Gail Edgell, and Gwen, wife of Steve Norton all of Manheim, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a sister, Janice Stauffer of Lancaster.
