Dr. Robert J. “Bob” Disney, 90, formerly of Ormond Street, Albany, N.Y., died peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim, PA. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late James and Helen McCaughan Disney. Bob was the loving husband of Nancy Taylor Disney and they observed their 67th wedding anniversary in June of this year. A dedicated dentist, Bob provided great individual care to his patients through his dental practice in Albany for over 51 years. Bob graduated from Union College in Schenectady, and the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. He was a member of the Third District Dental Society in Albany, and the past chairman of the Legislative Committee. Bob was also the past president of the Dental Study Club. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post in Delmar. Bob was a life-long member of the Third Reformed Church in Albany.
Surviving in addition to his wife Nancy, is a daughter, Susan D. Patrick of Hummelstown, PA., and a granddaughter, Emily Patrick of Columbia, MD.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Bob’s funeral service at the Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, 490 Delaware Avenue, Albany on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 12:00 Noon. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Albany.
