Dorothy M. "Dot" Moyer

Dorothy M. “Dot” Moyer, 86, formerly of 1176 Creek Road, Manheim, died peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community. Born in Rapho Township, she was the daughter of the late Clayton Hossler and the late Martha Leppard Hossler Fulkrod. A homemaker, she was the loving wife of the late Elwood C. Moyer who died in February of 1992. Dot was a member of Chiques Church of the Brethren, Manheim. A people person her entire life she enjoyed talking to everyone she met and valued the friends she made throughout her lifetime. Her interests included: watching game shows on television, word puzzles, and reading. She had a passion for all types of animals especially, horses, cats, dogs, and a special pet Russian Hamster named Nibbles that she came to know while she was a resident at Mount Hope Nazarene Retirement Community.

Surviving is a daughter, Sherry A. wife of LeRoy Eshleman of Conestoga, two sons: Ronald L. husband of Susan Gebhart Moyer of Mount Joy, Kenneth E. husband of June D. Brown Moyer of Manheim, seven grandchildren: Kelly, John, Erin, Dillon, Amy, Anthony, Tyler, and three great grandchildren: Addison, Grace, and Brantley. Preceding her in death is a sister, Millie Hossler.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Dot’s funeral service at the Chiques Church of the Brethren, 4045 Sunnyside Road, Manheim, on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 10:30 AM. There will be a viewing at the church on Friday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM with additional viewing on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be held in the adjoining church cemetery.
