Dorothy H. Sauder

Dorothy H. Sauder, 89, of Manheim passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Manheim. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Melvin and Erma Smith Hoffer. Dorothy was the loving wife of the late Norman D. Sauder who died in 2009. She was a member of White Oak Church of the Brethren, Manheim. Dorothy was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking. She also worked at the Manheim Auto Auction for twenty years. Dorothy was a quiet lady who had a sense of humor that her family adored. She enjoyed traveling and loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Surviving are two sons, Melvin W. husband of Jeri Schaeffer Sauder, Timothy N. husband of Kathy Gantz Sauder both of Manheim, a daughter, Betty S. Byler of Ephrata, five grandchildren, Angela Sauder Lefever, Wendy Sauder Pfoutz, Natalie Byler Martin, Courtney Sauder Milbourne, Colton Sauder, eight great grandchildren, a brother, Enos husband of Peg Hoffer of Manheim and a sister, Anna Mary Youtz of Manheim. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Larry E. Byler, brother, Abel Hoffer and a sister, Helen Miller.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at Pleasant View Retirement Community, Hoffer Auditorium, 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10:00 AM. Interment in Graybill’s Brethren Cemetery, Elm. There will be a public viewing at Hoffer Auditorium on Wednesday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Please omit flowers.
