Dorothy A. Frain
Dorothy A. Frain, 86, of Lebanon, PA, died peacefully and went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 8th, 2015 from Luthercare at Spang Crest Manor, in Lebanon PA. Born in Linfield,PA, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Viola (Beckel) Berkey. A homemaker, Dorothy was the loving wife of John J. Frain and they observed their 67th wedding anniversary in September of last year. Dorothy attended Bethel Baptist Church, Manheim; previously she was a member for more than 40 years at Limerick Chapel where she served as a Sunday school teacher. Her interests included: grooming Poodles, crocheting, and ceramics. She was an expert seamstress and made Teddy Bears and beautiful doll clothing. No one could match her cooking and baking talents and her family and friends were blessed with her generous hospitality.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are two daughters: Carol D. wife of Donald Walt of Spring City, Donna L. Frain of Manheim, and a son, John J. husband of Cynthia (Minard) Frain of Mount Joy, four grandchildren: Jason, Bryan, Melissa, Jonathan; seven great-grandsons: Christian, Braydon, Ethan, Michael, Jonathan, Jace, Jaythan; a brother, George Berkey of Norristown, and a sister, Viola Annette (Berkey) Buckley of Sellersville. She was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Berkey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Limerick Garden of Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick, PA., on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Friends may visit with the family in the chapel on Wednesday morning from 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
