Doris S. Hollinger, 91, formerly of East Ferdinand Street, Manheim, died peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at the Pleasant View Retirement Community. Born in Manheim, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Carla Weidman Stormfeltz. Doris was the loving wife of the late Eugene H. Hollinger who died in June of 1982. For over twenty-seven years Doris was the owner and operator of the Mam’selle Shoppe; a local women’s clothing store located in Manheim. Throughout her life Doris was an active and faithful member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim. She was a charter member of the Manheim Historical Society and was a member for many years of the Manheim Women’s Club serving as their president. Doris’s interests included: knitting, cooking, and playing the piano.
Surviving are two sons: Stephen E. husband of Jacqueline Hollinger of Terre Hill, Bradford L. husband of Lee Ann Hollinger of Camp Hill, six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Preceding her in death are two brothers: Charles and Robert Stormfeltz and a sister, Alberta Shovlin.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church 2 South Hazel Street, Manheim, on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. There will be a viewing from the Hoffer Auditorium at the Pleasant View Retirement Community 544 North Penryn Road, Manheim, on Wednesday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM. There will be an additional viewing on Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Doris’s memory to the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund 2 South Hazel Street, Manheim, PA 17545.
