Doris Hershey

Doris Hershey, 88, of Lititz, died peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2023 at her home. Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Myrtle Kuhn Hershey. Doris had great faith and is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Doris worked for Swatch US Inc, Lancaster; previously, she was employed at Alcoa Manufacturing Plant, Lancaster. She was an amazing baker and was known throughout the family for her incredible Snickerdoodle Cookies. Doris had a deep passion for all college sports; and you would find her watching college football and basketball games throughout the season, and that passion was extended to all National Football League Games as well. Doris loved word search puzzles, and in her younger years enjoyed playing softball.

Surviving is a daughter, Amy J. Shank of Lancaster, three sisters: Dorothy wife of Ed Longenecker of East Petersburg, Donna Wagaman of Mount Joy, Beverly Geib of East Petersburg, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Hershey of Lancaster. Preceding her in death is a son, Thomas A. Shank, a sister, Vivian Walter and three brothers: Lloyd, Richard, and John Hershey.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
