Donna K. Parmer, 82, of Lititz, and formerly of Manheim; died peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Landis Homes Retirement Community. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Helen Tschudy Yingst. Donna was the loving wife of Charles E. Parmer Jr. and they observed their 62nd wedding anniversary in September of last year. She was a 1959 graduate of Manheim Central High School. For over 21 years Donna worked as a receptionist and secretary, for Farmers First Bank, Manheim Branch, retiring in 2001. She was a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church, Lititz; and was active with the Women’s Fellowship Group of the church. Donna was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and for Meals on Wheels for the Manheim Community. Her interests included: traveling, and reading. Donna had an abiding love for her family and cherished the time she could spend with her family and her grandchildren she adored.
Surviving in addition to her husband Charles Jr., is a son, Michael S. Parmer companion of Renae Peczenij of Manheim, two grandchildren: Grant M. husband of Melanie Parmer, of Cooper, ME, Cadence Avett Mae, of Manheim, and three nieces. Preceding her in death is a brother, Donald E. Yingst.
Services for Donna will be private and at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Donna’s memory to: Manheim Community Library, 15 East High Street, Manheim, PA 17545Visits: 476
