Donald S. Kramer, 87, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Masonic Health Care Center, Elizabethtown. He was the husband of Patsy (Riddle) Inners and they would have celebrated 18 years of marriage in January 2015. Born in Penbrook, he was the son of the late John and Hazel (Simonton) Kramer. Don was a former high school science teacher, working for the Northeastern School District in York Co. and also for the York City School District. Don was a graduate of John Harris High School, Harrisburg, and was a graduate of Shippensburg University. He was a member of the John S. Memorial Chapel at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown. Don was a bicycling enthusiast, and along with his wife, they biked throughout the world including Europe, Canada, and the USA. He was also an avid golfer, reader, table tennis player and enjoyed bridge.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Nanette Spyker (Michael) of York, two sons Mark Kramer (Audrey) of Russiaville, VA; Scott Kramer (Tanya) of York; five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Stephen Kramer, a sister Mary Solenberger, two brothers John C. and Theodore R. Kramer, and his first wife Nancy (Lippi) Kramer.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his Memorial Service at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel, Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, on Friday September 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be in the Sell Columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Don’s memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association 3544 N.
