Donald E. Mosemann

Donald E. Mosemann, 89, of Manheim, died Thursday March 22, 2018 at Pleasant View Retirement Community.

Born in East Lampeter Township, PA, he was the son of the late David H. and Mary Weaver Mosemann. The family moved to Manheim in 1930 and Don graduated from Manheim High School. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Marian B. Mosemann and three children, Michael E., husband of Jacqueline (Kulp) Mosemann of Lancaster, Douglas B. of Lititz and Eileen S. wife of Douglas Fahnestock, Manheim. He is also survived by a grandson, Lee Rambler and his wife Jodi and their daughter Marissa, a younger sister, Doris Bailey and a younger brother, Richard. He was preceded in death by his older brother David W., his younger sister, Darlene Huber and a son Dennis.

Don and his brother Richard operated Mosemann’s Grocery Store, begun by their father, on the square in Manheim. Later he and his wife Marian operated Mosemann’s Meat Market, also on the square in Manheim. Don was a member from his youth of Salem United Methodist Church, Manheim.

Don loved sports and participated in basketball and baseball in high school. He closely followed and attended Manheim Central Sports for many years. Don was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with friends on the golf course.

Interment and memorial service will be private and at the convenience of the family.
