Donald E. Greiner, 77, of Manheim, died peacefully on Friday, December 3, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Lebanon.
Born in Colebrook, he was the son of the late Harvey B. and Mabel Alleman Greiner. Don retired from Armstrong World Industries, Lancaster; previously he worked for over thirty years for the Fuller Company Manheim. He served in the United States Army, and was a member of the Hope Episcopal Church Manheim. Don was the husband of the late Dorothy Harrington Greiner who died in June of 2000. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, hunting, fishing, and traveling to the family cabin in Potter County. He was a lifetime member of the Elstonville Sportsmen Association, and the Hemlock Archery Club Lebanon.
Surviving is a son, Dwight E. husband of Cindy S. Wettig Greiner of Manheim, a daughter, Dawn M. Greiner of Mechanicsburg, four grandchildren, two great grandsons, a brother, Anthony Tony Greiner of Manheim, and a sister, Geraldine Fisher of Palmyra. Preceding him in death is a son, Donald E. Greiner Jr., and a sister, Nancy Greiner.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his memorial service at the Hope Episcopal Church 2425 Mountain Road, Manheim, on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Tim Small and the Reverend Michael Wise officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery. Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service at the church. I
