Dolores Myers Sachs, 81, of Manheim passed away at home on Tuesday, July 17, 2012. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George K. and Naomi Seachrist Myers. She was the wife of the late Carl W. Sachs Jr. who died in 2008. Dolores was a teacher at Linden Hall, Lititz and at the United Cerebral Palsy, Lebanon. She graduated cum laude from Millersville University with a BS in education in 1977. Dolores was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manheim where she was the former Director of Nursery School for twelve years. She also attended Manheim Brethren In Christ Church and LCBC. An avid reader, Dolores enjoyed traveling, volunteering, gardening, flowers and she loved to spend time with her family. Surviving are three sons, Jeffrey M. husband of Linda Sachs of Chandler, Arizona, James R. Sachs of Phoenix, Arizona, Stephen M. husband of Violet Sachs of Bellefonte, four daughters, Christina S. wife of Michael Wagner of Dallastown, Elizabeth A. Ern of Manheim, Theresa L. wife of David Lehman of Collegeville and Sarah P. Sachs companion of Robert Hill of Morton, 19 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, 3 step great grandchildren and a brother, George K. Jr. husband of Peggy Myers of Silver Spring, Maryland. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her funeral service at the Buch Funeral Home, 21 Market Square, Manheim on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Manheim Fairview Cemetery, Penn Township. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday afternoon from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
